1 1/2 cups of flour
1/2 cup of sugar
1 1/2 tsp of baking powder
9 tblsp of melted butter
3/4 cup of milk (recommend whole but skim works too)
1 egg lightly beaten
Whisk or stir together. You can also add mini chocolate chips to this recipe. Heat up the donut maker (I do not make fried donuts). Spoon one spoonful into each greased donut shaper, close lid and cook till green light lights up.
Let cool and then put powdered sugar or superfine sugar on by dipping in a bowl.
Background: This is a very recent family recipe. When we went pumpkin picking we got fresh apple cider donuts at the farm and I told your Uncle D that it was the best donut I ever had… I proceeded to I guess carry on about how good it was. For my birthday a few weeks later I got a donut maker and some donut mix. I made the second best donuts ever and I have made them several times since upon request including Christmas morning and your cousin borrowed it for her sleepover party!
