Todays Prompt: Give us 3 easy healthy meals or snacks for young kids & toddlers
Make fresh popcorn on the stove (NOT microwave popcorn)
Melt a tablespoon of butter and add 1/4 cup of semisweet chocolate chips and melt them.
Take the popcorn and place it on a cookie sheet and drizzle the melted chocolate on it. let cool and store in an air tight container.
Blueberries, Raspberries, and Whipped Cream (This is your favorite summer snack A and I cannot get enough of it)
Make fresh whip cream in you mixer. Use heavy cream, a dash of vanilla extract to flavor, and your whisk attachment and turn you mixer on high, mix for a few minutes.
I happen to have the best whip cream maker from Williams Sonoma it is manual device that you can pour the heavy cream into and you manually whip the cream. It is an amazing invention and does not require you to use your mixer and the whip cream comes out perfect.
I just started making homemade yogurt because I did not like the chemicals and additives in store bought yogurt. Now we can have any flavor yogurt we want!
Here is the basics of making yogurt: heat organic milk up to 180 degrees and let cool to 120 degrees and add yogurt starter and flavoring (if you want). Put in yogurt maker (really just a controlled warm environment) for 7-10 hours (whole milk takes less time than skim). Refrigerate for 3 hours after that and it is good for 10 days! I always add organic vanilla extract before I put in the yogurt maker. It is very easy and time part requires no action by you. Your Dad thinks I am insane for making yogurt but I am making you healthier food and keeping all those containers out of the landfill!
